Volvo Bullet Connector Insulating Boots (Digital Only)

Volvo uses unique insulation housings on their 3.5 mm bullet connectors; these housings are not available for purchase, so I've created suitable replicas allowing myself to freshen up these often-corroded connectors. I did not want to pay >$7 PER pigtail from those few vendors who do [kindly] offer them. Pay $2 and make as many as you want!

Printing Recommendations

• TPU-95A is suitable for most applications. Dry your filament!
• If the application requires greater heat resistance, consider stiffer TPUs such as 64-68D.
• Designed to be printed with a 0.6 mm nozzle; 0.4 mm should work.

Pigtail Creation

• The steps I use to create pigtails is:
• Strip 16-gauge wire.
• Crimp on 3.5 mm male bullet connector.
• Apply shrink wrap over wire+connector.
• Slip pigtail through printed insulator; ensure proper seating depth.
• Optional: use soldering iron to gently fuse insulator to pigtail wiring insulation.
• Apply shrink wrap over insulator top cap (ensure it is fully seated) and pigtail wiring.
• TEST for stable connector to bullet connector.
